NEWS: Shook Like Dead Men Call For Official Break Up
After years of being one of the better known unsigned acts from Ohio, Shook Like Dead Men have announced their plans that after a few more shows, they will be calling it quits as a band.
Below is the official announcement made by the band:
“Well, friends, it’s been an awesome time. I don’t know how to say this other than to just come out and say it. Shook Like Dead Men is finished. We’ve came as far as we can at this point in our lives and it’s time to say goodbye. I’ll be the one to shoulder the vast majority of the blame, though.
As you guys know, we only play music as a means to glorify God and spread the message that Jesus Christ was crucified for sin in the place of all who will trust in him. With that being said, I’ve been called into preaching and pastoring at Revolution (my home church) in Portsmouth, Ohio. I just want to glorify God and preach the Gospel but I know that I can’t be in SLDM and be available enough at Revolution to do both as hard as I can. So, I had to choose. And I’ve chosen to help lead my local congregation. I hope you guys understand that we’re all still friends and that the other guys in Shook understand my reasons for making this decision.
This isn’t all about me, though. Erik is engaged to be married next year and is focusing on finishing college, starting a career, having a family and becoming more involved in the ministries of his local church. Stephen has decided that he’s reached the time in his life where he also wants to settle down and begin to focus on a career and his ministries in the East End of Portsmouth with Revolution and Gateway Church. Ben is leaving by default and stressed that he will be pursuing other musical interests sometime in the near future. So, be on the lookout for whatever he’s involved with. I’m sure, whatever he does, that it is bound to phenomenal.
We love you all and hope you’ll understand as well. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to worship with you, share the Gospel with you and meet all the people that we have. Thank you for making this fun.
Follow Jesus. Tell people the good news that Jesus died in our place for our sin. Keep the faith until death.

NEWS: Consequences Offer Update On New Album
Consequences, one of the newer metal core acts in the Columbus,OH scene, have been hard at work over the last several months, on writing their debut EP. But it seems keeping the band as a solid unit has been more of the struggle they’ve come across.
After previously announcing plans for a debut full-length album “In-Fine”, it seems that those plans have been scrapped, after recent problems with the studio in which they were originally having the new material produced at.
It now seems the band has not only changed the idea of now making it an EP, but have also decided on a new “yet to be named” title for the EP.
Below was a post made by the band offering a small update:
“So we’ve come to a decision to stop the album we were making in its tracks and make the best EP we can. We realize that we’ve kept you all waiting for new songs, but we assure you guys that it’ll be worth this added wait! We’re going to start pre-pro ASAP, and studio time will be scheduled after that. We love you all, and we’ll have a new song out to you as soon as we can. Thank you for everything!”
